TIMA-ADE FOUNDATION DONATED 10 MERCK E-READERS MEDICAL TABLETS TO TIMA-ADE UNIVERSITY

Tima-Ade Foundation donated ten Merck e-readers tablets received from Books-For-Africa or BFA to the Tima-Ade University in Gabiley, Somaliland in 2022. The university will be responsible of distributing the tablets to their top medical school students who graduated last year, in 2021. Tima-Ade Foundation agreed to transport the donated shipments.

The Merck e-readers tablets were a donation from Merck, a large pharmaceutical company based in New Jersey. Each e-reader tablet consists of one Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0” 8 GB (Wi-Fi), one power cable, and one notebook style case, and comes pre-loaded with the Merck professional and consumer edition applications.

The donated shipments safely arrived in Gabiley last week. Tima-Ade University authorities and leaders are expected to organize and coordinate a special event or ceremony soon for the top graduate medical students from last year to receive the Merck e-readers tablets.

Tima-Ade University, established in 2009 in Gabiley, Somaliland, medical students graduate surpass more than 50 students each year.  These medical students are consisted of MDs or medical doctors, nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, OBGYN or midwives, surgeons, and other doctors with unique specialties including internal medicine, ENT (ears, nose, and throat), and woman health.
